Election posters spring up overnight as by-election date is confirmed

Posters have sprung up across Carlow and Kilkenny overnight following confirmation of the date we will vote in Phil Hogans replacement in the Dail.

The Environment Minister Alan Kelly made the order for the by-election yesterday and polling will take place on Friday May 22nd between 7am and 10pm.

13 candidates have declared their intentions to contest for the seat already and will by vying for votes from the electorate for Carlow-Kilkenny which stands currently at 103 thousand 801.

Next Tuesday is the deadline to register for your vote but as Monday is a bank holiday tomorrow is your last chance to post your applications to get on the electoral register.
