One person has died and three people injured after a bus crash on North Earl Street.
Bus Éireann has confirmed one of its buses was involved in the incident – it was not in service at the time.
The operator has staff working alongside the emergency services and says it will offer its full support to the authorities.
Talbot Street has been closed from Gardiner Street, and Marlborough Street has also been closed from Cathal Brugha Street.
Luas Green Line services are suspended between Parnell Street and St Stephen’s Green because of the incident.
Gardaí say local diversions are in place.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Ray McAdam confirmed a full emergency response is in place following the bus crash in Dublin city.
“My thoughts are with those who have been injured and with their families at this difficult time,” the Lord Mayor said.
“I want to reassure Dubliners that the situation is being actively managed, and I would ask the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services to carry out their work.”
