Emergency works to see key Kilkenny junction closed to traffic for a fortnight

Emergency sewer works will see a key junction in Kilkenny city closed to through traffic for a fortnight. 

From today (Tuesday, 24th March) to the 7th of April a temporary road closure will be in effect on Upper Patrick Street (R910) from Ormonde Road (R909) to Nuncio Road (L2667) and on the Kells Road (R697) from Upper Patrick Street (R910) to the Ring Road (N76).

The county council says diversions will be in place with local access facilitated as far as practicable.

With a number of schools and businesses nearby, those set to travel in and around the area should allow for extra travel time.
