The persistent dumping of domestic rubbish in the Bilboa area of Carlow, including couches and armchairs, has to be addressed.
That’s according to local Councillor Daniel Pender who raised the matter at the Carlow Municipal District meeting this week.
The dumping of substantial levels of refuse on the hill above Ballinabranna and Old Leighlin has been a recurring theme in the area for several years.
Speaking to KCLR News, Councillor Pender says it’s been a recurring theme but he has had a commitment from local authority to move some of the mobile cameras used to deter dumping to that site in a bid to put a stop to the matter.
