European tour criticised after death of caddie

golfThe European Tour is being strongly criticised for carrying on with a tournament after the death of a caddie.

Iain McGregor was working with Scotland’s Alastair Forsyth when he suffered a heart attack during the Madeira Islands Open in Portugal.

Play was initially suspended on an indefinite basis before it was decided to resume, with Forsyth saying he’s sure McGregor would have wanted them to finish.

But a number of players published critical Tweets over the event continuing.
