Facebook are refusing to re-instate a Carlow cancer sufferer’s page because she looks different now than she did in her passport picture.
So says Leona Tynan who’s teenage daughter Shauntelle told KCLR yesterday that a fake page using her image and information had been set up under the name Tamires Dias.
She said that despite reporting it to Facebook numerous times, they would not take down the page – which has gathered over 600,000 likes.
In a surprising turn of events today, her mother Leona says that Facebook have now targeted Shauntelle’s personal page and instead removed it.
They’re heading to Texas in the morning for 6 weeks of further treatment for histiocytosis.
Leona says Facebook is Shauntelle’s main way of communicating with friends but they’re having trouble reasoning with the company.
