Fears for staff of discount outlet with branches in Carlow and Kilkenny

Concern’s been expressed for those working for a discount retail outlet which has had liquidators appointed to its operating companies. 

EuroGiant employs 640 people at 77 stores nationwide including at three in Carlow town, at the Fairgreen Shopping Centre, on Tullow Road and on Tullow Street, and one on Kilkenny city’s High Street.

RTE News reports that EuroGeneral Limited and Bushgrove Limited, trading as EuroGiant, have blamed ‘rising costs’ for the decision.
