‘Female only’ speed friending event set for Wexford

A “speed-friending” event has been set up in Wexford.

It was created by an Australian woman who, after moving here, found it difficult to make friends.

The initiative, which has been taking place in Gorey, is currently female-only but plans to expand to mixed and kids events.

Rebecca Smith Andreou is creator of Real Life Friends Club and said her first event was in November and it was a huge success. ”I was really lonely and did a google search and found that 10 years ago events like these were happening. I have loved meeting new people and so have others.”
