A former Mayor of Kilkenny and a former IFA President will go head to head tonight as they bid to be Fine Gaels candidate for the upcoming by-election.
Councillor David Fitzgerald and John Bryan are the only 2 in the running ahead of the partys selection convention in the Lyrath Hotel later (8pm).
The Taoiseach will be there for the event along with Minister Simon Harris and Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan who is Director of Elections.
