Gardaí have confirmed that a firearm was taken in the course of a burglary at a residential property in the Slieverue area of South Kilkenny between the 6th and 12th of July.
A Garda spokesperson told KCLR News this afternoon that “investigations are ongoing”.

Meanwhile, more than seven point seven million cigarettes have been seized in County Wexford.
They’re branded ‘L&B’ and have an estimated value of over €7.3 million.

Revenue officers based in Kilkenny and Rosslare Europort found the cigarettes during the search of an unaccompanied trailer.
