South Eastern Mountain Rescue were involved in a five hour operation yesterday in Tipperary.
A couple in their 50’s were rescued in the Knockmealdown mountains after they were trapped in a very dense rhododendron forest on the mountain.
Mountain Rescue spotters, who were able to make visual contact with the two experienced hill walkers, guided rescuers in by radio to the location.
The couple were brought to safety by evening time.
