Frankenstein Bolts, in the guise of Justin Cullen and Dan Comerford, dropped in to Studio 2 to share some of their new material. Their album “Aglow & Spark” has just been released and in this Session we hear two songs in their stripped down beauty and one from the album itself. Live, they use a variety of electronic instruments to drive their own particular brand of ‘dream pop’ and both Justin and Dan blend their vocals to great effect. They’re touring at the moment and will come to Cleere’s Theatre on Saturday, August 26th before heading to Electric Picnic the following week.
We chat about their approach to songwriting and hear about the writing of two live songs and a track from their album.
