Kris Drever has been a firm favourite across the shows I’ve presented and his latest album “If Wishes Were Horses” is on many people’s albums of the year. Indeed he has gained widespread praise and acclaim as composer of the year in the 2016 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music awards. He’s been playing as a solo musician for over 10 years now, picking up a BBC award for his first collection and on a number of occasions with the Scottish supergroup LAU.
He was on tour in Ireland recently and dropped in to Studio 2 to play and chat. A fine guitar player as you’ll no doubt know, we hear two of Kris’ own songs and one from a good friend, songwriter Sandy Wright.
