Mick Lynch is on of Ireland’s finest songwriters, as a member of the Guggenheim Grotto and currently as a member of Storyman with Kevin May. He’s been US-based for a number of years and has recently move to Upstate New York where he’s become part of a fine artistic community.
He’s been busy on his own behalf too, releasing his debut solo album “Aliens, Ghosts + Lovers”. It’s an arresting collection of finely crafted songs and will hopefully win some more fans. The songs are deeply personal in nature but crafted in universal terms. Some look at life from a unique angle, some anchor memories in a time and place that resonate with the listener like all the great songs (and songwriters) do.
He dropped in to Studio 2 for a (welcome) flying visit and we hear three of his songs from the album live, up close and personal
