Ireland is heading for another election before the year is out.
That’s the prediction of a former Carlow Fine Gael Councillor who says that the only option is a Fine Gael / Fianna Fáil coalition but that it won’t last more than a few months.
Talks are continuing today on the formation of the next government.
Declan Alcock lost his seat in Carlow Town in the 2009 local elections and has since resigned from the party but has maintained a strong interest in politics.
Speaking to KCLR today he’s predicting a very short-lived 32nd Dáil.
