Former Carlow Kilkenny TD pays tribute to the late Taoiseach Albert Reynolds

20131219071513Albert-Reynolds-book-lgFormer Taoiseach Albert Reynolds is being remembered for his role in bringing peace to Northern Ireland, after the announcement of his death this morning.

 

The 81-year-old – who had been battling Alzheimer’s in recent years – is survived by his wife Kathleen and their 7 children.

 

The Roscommon native served as a minister in several government departments and was twice elected Taoiseach.

 

Former Fianna Fail TD for Carlow Kilkenny Bobby Aylward says he possibly didn’t get the credit he deserved for his role in the Peace process.
