Three local former Garda stations were sold at auction in Kilkenny today.
The Johnstown, Inistioge and Ballyragget buildings fetched a combined figure of €388,000 – well above the expected €300,000.
The former station in Ballyragget had the lowest starting price at €50,000 but ended up going for more than either of the other two at €141,000.
Speaking to KCLR, auctioneer Robert Ganly says the buildings will now most likely be turned into homes.
