A fresh appeal has been issued for information on a 10-year-old murder case in Kilkenny.
Gerry Nolan died in a fire in his mobile home in Castlecomer in 2006.
Gardai are appealing to people in Castlecomer to come forward if they have any information about the death of Gerry Nolan back on the 24th of July 2006.
The local man – who was 44 – died as a result of a fire in his mobile home at the back of a house in Deerpark.
Gardaí at the time determined that he died as a result of the fire however after new information emerged last year, the investigation was upgraded to murder.
Those investigating say they’re hopeful the passage of time has changed people’s attitudes and that those who know something about it might now come forward.
Mr Nolan was described as a well-liked and quiet person.
