Farmers, hauliers and bus drivers are continuing to block roads and fuel terminals for a fourth day of protests over rising prices.
The M9 northbound is again closed this morning as trucks and tractors blocked the road before 7am.
Government will be meeting with official haulier, farming and forestry representative bodies later today, but despite claims last night its understood they won’t be talking to protesters.
The army remains on standby as fears rise of shortages caused by blockades at fuel plants in Cork, Galway and Limerick.
A number of filling stations in Carlow and Kilkenny have reported no fuel or an extreme shortage this morning.

Circle K on Castlecomer Road – has stock.
Walsh’s Maxol on Belmont Road – out of diesel but has petrol.

O’Tooles Service Station, Tullow – out of diesel.
Circle K at junction 5 Carlow – out of diesel but have diesel plus.
