GAA round up- Erins Own crowned Carlow junior hurling champions

carlow_gaa_crest_400x400Erins Own were crowned Carlow Junior hurling champions last night after beating Naomh Brid by nine points in Dr Cullen Park.

 

Gary Monaghan scored the only game for the champions as they won 1-16 to 1-7.

 

In Kilkenny, Erins Own secured victory over Tullaroan by 5-17 to 13 points in the Junior Hurling championship.

 

It will be a busy evening of hurling in Carlow.

 

In the JJ Kavanaghs intermediate semi finals, Carlow Town face Naomh Eoin at 4 while St Mullins take on Mount Leinster Rangers at 5.30.

 

Immediately afterwards, Mount Leinster Rangers take on St Mullins in the senior hurling championship at 7.

 

All three fixtures take place at Dr Cullen Park.
