“We had seen the videos first, but then to watch it all unfold in real time was very strange,” so says Angie, an eyewitness sharing her account of this morning’s Garda chase in Carlow.
This incident occurred as Gardaí responded to a theft involving a JCB in County Carlow. A managed pursuit was put in place to ensure the safety of all parties involved, including the public and members of An Garda Síochána.

The vehicle was eventually stopped, and a male suspect has been arrested for alleged offenses under the Road Traffic Acts. He is currently in custody at a Garda station in County Carlow under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
