Garda pay deal isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” according to local GRA member

Carlow and Kilkenny’s Garda Representative spokesperson says the new pay deal isn’t a “one-size fits all” and more time is needed to discuss it.

The GRA’s Central Executive Committee met yesterday to talk about the proposal reached with the Department of Justice.

It’s hoped the deal – which includes a Rent Allowance and the removal of a pay freeze – will avoid industrial action.

Speaking to KCLR News after yesterday’s discussions, local GRA member, Ger Comerford says they need to make sure it will benefit all Gardaí.
