Five assaults were reported to Gardaí in Kilkenny City between Thursday and Sunday.
A 30 year old man was taken to hospital for stitching to minor injuries to his face.
He was allegedly struck on the head on Connolly Street in the city on Thursday night between 9.30 and 10pm.
His attacker who was not known to him fled the scene on a bicycle.
Separately a man had a tooth chipped in another altercation.
Gardaí are asking anybody who witnessed any of the incidents to come forward with information to Kilkenny Garda station on 056 7775000.
