Gardai appeal for witnesses after service station raid in Hacketstown

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a gang of men raided a service station in Hacketstown earlier this week.

It happened sometime between 11.30 on Monday night and 7am on Tuesday morning at Hillview Service station.

The culprits cut the wires to the alarm and entered the premises through the ceiling after ripping off roof tiles.

Gardai say it seems they were on the premises for quite some time and moved a fridge across the door to block it.

They stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes before they left and Gardai would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Monday night with any information that might help.
