Gardaí are urging a cyclist who passed by the scene of yesterday morning’s crash in County Carlow to come forward.
It’s as a man in his early forties from Bunclody died when the car he was driving collided with a truck on the N80 at Graignaspideog.
A stretch of the route was closed for most of the day while technical examinations were carried out on the scene.
Carlow Garda Superintendent Anthony Farrell is reiterating his appeal for witnesses to come forward:
“A black citron traveling in the direction of Carlow impacted an on-coming lorry, resulting in fatal injuries to the driver. An Garda Síochána in Carlow is anxious that a cyclist who was on the road at the time and passed the accident scene reach out to An Garda Síochána and if you know the cyclist, please contact An Garda Síochána in Carlow on 059 366 20, gardaí are very anxious to identify and speak with this person.”
