Gardai called after Carlow Councillors blocked into car park after council meeting
Gardai had to be called to get Carlow councillors out of the car park following their monthly meeting yesterday.
Its understood around 20 anti-water charge demonstrators blocked the exit as members tried to leave.
Some of the protesters had attended the meeting of Carlow County Council yesterday where members passed a motion calling for Irish Water to be abolished immediately.
Fianna Fail Councillor Fintan Phelan says he understands the public anger over the charges.
