Gardai called to ructions in Carlow council chamber
Gardai were called to a meeting of Carlow county council yesterday evening.
A discussion on wind farms arose and at the end of council discussions some people in the public gallery that were part of a group protesting earlier attempted to address the meeting.
A spokesperson for Carlow county council told KCLR that as this is not allowed under local authority standing orders Council officials had no choice but to ask Gardai to intervene.
No arrests were made and when Gardai arrived the protestors had already left the council chamber.
