Gardaí in Kilkenny investigating following armed robbery yesterday evening

Gardaí in Kilkenny are investigating following an armed robbery yesterday evening.

The incident occurred at the Topaz garage on the Castlecomer Road.

A man entered the shop around 6:30pm and threatened a member of staff with a metal bar.

He escaped on foot with a small amount of cash.

Nobody was injured during the robbery and no arrests have been made.
