Gardaí are increasing their presence on roads over the St. Patrick’s Bank Holiday weekend, with a safety operation underway until Wednesday.
In excess of 500 drivers were detected for speeding offences during the first 24 hours of the operation.

No arrests were made in our locality for drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Gardaí are reminding all road users to slow down and take extra care over the weekend.
