Gardai investigate break in at Lidl in Kilkenny

Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating a break in at Lidl overnight

Three men armed with sledgehammers and a crowbar forced their way into the shop on the Waterford Rd at approximately 1am.

They attempted to gain access to a safe but were unsuccessful and are understood to have stolen some alcohol

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident and are seeking to speak to the driver of a dark blue car which was spotted in the area at the time.
