An investigation is underway into a double arson attack in Callan at the weekend.
One car was set alight and there was an attempt to burn another in the Wescourt Demense estate just before 5 o clock on Saturday morning.
Technical examinations were carried out at both scenes and Gardai are said to be following a definite line of inquiry.
However they are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident to get in touch with Gardai in Callan on 056 7706630.
