Separate thefts from cars in the Rath Ullord estate in Kilkenny were reported in the early hours of Wednesday, November 26th, and Gardaí are appealing for information after loose change was taken from one vehicle.
Garda Robert Rasmussen of Bagenalstown Garda Station is urging residents to lock their cars and remove valuables to help prevent further incidents.
“You just want to reiterate to members of the public to always ensure that their cars are locked and not to leave any valuables in the car and not leave anything unlocked in the car or anything on display in the car and this will stop opportunist thefts from occurring,” he said.
Meanwhile, Carlow Gardaí are investigating another theft from a vehicle on Saturday, November 22nd in Leighlinbridge.
Garda Rasmussen is asking anyone who noticed suspicious activity in either area to contact their local Garda station.
