Gardaí look for witnesses to suspected arson attack in Kilkenny

Gardaí are looking for witnesses after a fire was started in a house in Kilkenny City last night.

Emergency services were called at about 10.30pm to the house on Kickham Street.

The sitting room was on fire but the Fire Service were able to get it under control quickly.

There was no-one in the house at the time.

Kilkenny Gardaí say the front window of the room was broken and the curtain was then set on fire.
