Tonight’s show started with a description of the Low Cost Loan Facility launched last week by Bank Of Ireland and others. We then heard from Terry Carroll, Dry Stock Adviser with Teagasc about the benefits of early grass and the economics of calf to beef production. Eddie Punch, General Secretary of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association, joined us to discuss an ICSA suckler cow initiative and (the inevitable) issue of Brexit.
