Government has undermined climate action according to senior Carlow Kilkenny Green Party representative

A senior Carlow Kilkenny Green representative has hit out at Government for abandoning its commitment to meeting emissions targets and undermining climate action.

Party leader Roderic O’Gorman will later introduce a Private Members Bill to the Dáil to mark Earth Day which will be followed by a protest outside Leinster House.

Senator Malcolm Noonan says action is needed by the country’s leaders and soon and they could start by passing his group’s motion;
