The boys are back in town (pun intended), the copies of Use Your Illusion II are being dusted off in the office and the pennies are being counted ahead of the weekend as tickets for Guns ‘N’ Roses go on sale this Friday.
Why?
Sure they’re only playing Slane, in what will no doubt be one of the biggest rock gigs of the summer.
2017 marks twenty five years since the band last took to Slane. That summer in 1992 they were joined by Kilkenny’s My Little Funhouse on the bill alongside Faith No More.
Next summer’s concert is the opening date of 35 booked for their Not In This Lifetime tour. Foo Fighters were last to play at Slane in 2015 alongside Hozier, Ash and Kaiser Chiefs.
Tickets priced from €89.50 are on sale at 9am this Friday morning with Golden Circle tickets running close to €150.
At time of writing, Guns ‘N’ Roses are the only act confirmed for Slane.
