Extra care’s needed today as Storm Agnes makes landfall.
Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork & Kerry are under an Orange rainfall and wind warning while the rest of Leinster and parts of Munster have been hit with a yellow notice.
Carlow Weather’s Alan O’Reilly outlines what’s forecast;”A spell of very wet and windy weather arriving, moving up across the county, with some very strong gusts in parts of Carlow and Kilkenny especially southern parts of both counties looking at gusts potentially of over 100km per hour”.
Roads Policing Inspector for Carlow & Kilkenny Paul Donohoe has this advice; “Expect it will be fairly bad so we’d ask our listeners if you don’t have to travel, don’t travel, that’s the first thing anyway, don’t leave your house if you don’t have to and if you are travelling the biggest thing is reduce your speed”.
