A hatchet was used to break into a county Carlow hardware store.
It happened at about 2:20am this day last week (Friday, 6th Sept) in Hacketstown.
Garda Andy Neill has been telling KCLR News; “The burglar who entered the shop by using a hatchet to smash the front window helped themselves to various power tool to the value of over €1,000, the assailant utilised a small trolley which they’d come equipped with to transport the items”.
He adds of the suspect; “They’re described as wearing all black, including a hooded coat, mask, tracksuits bottoms and runners and spending no more than ten minutes on the premises”
And Garda Neill has this appeal; “Can you assist? Did you see suspicious activity? If so, please contact Gardaí in Carlow on 059 9136620”.
