Carlow and Kilkenny both recorded healthy performances in terms of land sales in 2013.
Although there was a drop in the prices paid in Kilkenny the average price per acre was still 11 thousand and 60 euro- thats well above the national average.
Carlows average price per acre was even higher at 11 thousand 143 euro.
One of the stand out sales saw more than 425 thousand euro paid for a 24 acre parcel of land outside of Tullow.
In Kilkenny a 70 acre farm outside the city went under the hammer for 1.13 million.
