Hollywood actor with Kilkenny roots vows to visit Ireland this summer

Could a Hollywood actor be about to visit the home of his ancestors in South Kilkenny?

Reports today suggest George Clooney and his wife will be taking in the sights on an Irish holiday this summer.

He says he’s ’embarrassed’ that he’s never ‘properly’ been to Ireland, but is now ‘definitely’ going to make the trip.

Its now well documented that the stars roots are in Windgap where his fathers great great grandfather Nicholas Clooney left from in the 1800’s.
