House prices continue to rise in Carlow and Kilkenny

The average house price in Carlow is now €250,000 and €255,000 in Kilkenny.

The latest survey from My home dot ie shows prices are still on the rise in both counties.

The rise of 2.4% in Carlow and 3.55% in Kilkenny comes as house prices in neighbouring Laois rose by almost 9.5% and just over 2% in Waterford.

Experts believe the new rental rules will mean landlords will leave that market and free up the units for homebuyers.
