Nearly a thousand people turned up to an open casting in Inistioge this week to be part of a new movie to be filmed in the coming weeks.
The local GAA centre hosted hundreds of people from all over the country hoping to be cast as an extra in the Jim Sheridan directed film The Secret Scripture.
Filming is due to start on February 2nd and the crew will be set up in the picturesque village for a week or more.
