Hunt on for three men believed to be responsible for targeting two Kilkenny city homes

Three men are believed to have been involved in incidents at a housing estate on the outskirts of Kilkenny city.

Two homes were targeted in the Meadow Way area, just off the Castlecomer Road on Sunday evening.

Between 6 and 9pm one house was ransacked with a sum of money taken after entry was gained through a rear patio door.

It’s understood those responsible tried to enter a second property but on realising they’d been seen fled in a grey-coloured VW Passat with a Dublin registration.

If you saw that car or witnessed the men, all of whom have been described as being of slim build, you’re asked to contact the city garda station – especially if you have footage of any kind.
