Former Democratic Unionist leader Ian Paisley has died at the age of 88.
His wife Eileen says his family is heartbroken.
He had been ill for some time.
Martin McGuinness has expressed his deep regret and sadness at the news of his death.
In a statement his wife said his funeral will be private and attended only by the immediate family, as will be his burial in accordance with his wishes.
