One of Kilkenny’s best-known pubs will be going under the hammer next month.
Over 3 centuries of drinking came to an end abruptly at Tynan’s Bridge House Bar in Kilkenny city last May.
Staff were informed that the doors would shut for the last time at midnight on the 4th of May.
Established in 1703, Tynan’s was one of the oldest pubs still running in the City.
Auctioneers, Allsops, have now announced that the iconic bar is going under the hammer in their September online auction.
The property is almost 2,700 square feet and has a rear garden.
The reserve price range they’ve put on it is €240,000 to €290,000.
The auction takes place in three weeks time – that’s September the 13th from 8am.
