There was success for Carlow actress Saoirse Ronan at the Irish Film and Television awards last night.
She scooped the award for Best Lead Actress in a Film for her role in Brooklyn.
The awards were presented at a ceremony in the The Mansion House in Dublin last night.
Liam Neeson was also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award which was presented to him by President Michael D Higgins.
Other winners on the night included Stephen Fingleton and Emma Donoghue.
