Colm Mac An Iomaire has released his new album of music “Agus Anois An Aimsir” (And Now The Weather”) and surprisingly it has taken almost 8 years since his debut release. It’s been for a variety of reasons but not because of lack of work on Colm’s part. Soundtrack and other commissions have been the order of the day but the new album has been warmly received (with good reason) and once again displays the beauty of his compositions and the sheer talent of Colm and his collaborators.
He describes the process of composition as “waiting for the butterfly to land” and it’s a fitting metaphor for music that is at once delicate and rich, feather light and deeply enthralling.
In other words, you need to get this album 😉
