Investigation to be carried out into partial failure of Callan flood relief scheme

It would appear the flood-relief scheme in Callan was no match for the rainfall of the last few days.
Fennelly’s Art Space on Upper Bridge Street was just one of a number of buildings flooded but the owner says that the situation would have been much worse were it not for the relief system.
The partial failure of the scheme, which was completed in 2012, is currently under investigation.
Speaking to KCLR News, Etaoin Holohan says there was over 10 inches of water in her premises.
