A major drug seizure has been discovered in County Carlow
As part of a planned operation, Gardaí carried out a search in the Rathvilly area and the discovery was made
On Friday last Carlow Detective unit searched open ground in Rathvilly as part of a targeted operation to the detection and interruption of the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Carlow.
Suspected cocaine with a street value of €50,000 was discovered and no arrests have been made yet.
Superintendent Anthony Farrell complemented the Garda members involved in the operation, which he said “was a victory for a rural community in the battle against drugs”.
