The only artist to play an instrument at the second Eurovision semi-final tonight, Molly Sterling and Ireland have been knocked out of the grand scale song contest.
The 17-year-old performed Playing With Numbers (above) and was second out on the stage tonight.
17 countries took part tonight but with only 10 places up for grabs, there was always the possibility of tears. Those who do progress to the final this Saturday night in Vienna are

21 countries got to vote tonight, including Australia, who are joining the competition for the first and only time to mark the competition’s 60th anniversary.
